My Journey

….

Social Media

The PERFECT life.

I’ve been there. A happy home, the most well behaved children. I’ve been the most happiest wife with a great job. Oh yes, that existed. The Perfect Life was lived however in my mind. I truly believed it.

We tend to gravitate towards these ideal life expectations. Social media indeed has led us to believe this. However, social media was not present at a time where we were still expected to meet high expectations. We will always have the temptation of our flesh attempting to prove to our neighbor how smart we are, how creative, and how awesome we, or our family can be at times. The truth is, no matter the circumstance or timeline in which we are born; we will still be striving to have this Perfect Life.

The Perfect Life simply doesn’t exist. God doesn’t promise a perfect life, and that’s okay.

He promises…

I was extremely shocked when my world was shaken. Soon after, let me tell you; I have found my purpose, and strength in Christ. I know who I am in Christ. I have found joy in my pain, and through my pain I was HUMBLED. Which is where I found my true faith, and it’s an ongoing journey. Just know, as long as you’re here on this earth. God is NOT done with you yet. You have a purpose. We are here to live for his glory with the gifts he has given us.

“You hem me in behind and before, and you lay your hand upon me.”

Psalms 139:5

God is always with us. He is our protector, and our defender in various trials throughout this Journey we have been called to live. Don’t be dismayed for he is with you.
